Overview:
We are searching for RNs with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our dialysis team. In this role, the Dialysis Nurse will provide specialized nursing care in a hemodialysis unit. The Dialysis Nurse will be work in collaboration with all the clinic team members to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality and safest care during their treatments.

The Dialysis Nurse will ensure the dialysis machine, its alarms, and all products are prepped and meet quality standards. The nurse will also monitor the patient during dialysis and communicate any issues or changes to the physician and patient’s family. Other responsibilities may include administering and charts all prescribed pre, intra, and post dialysis medications and charge items in the Medical Information System (MIS) and on the treatment flow sheet, and participating in patient care conferences, medical rounds and chart reviews, as assigned.

The dialysis nurse will also assist with training new hires, and will collaborate with other members of the staff and renal team on a frequent basis.

Schedule details:
• Full-time
• 4 days/week

Requirements:
• At least 1 year experience as an RN required
• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program required
• Current license in the state as a registered nurse required
• Current CPR certification required
• Dialysis experience is highly preferred
• If no dialysis experience, then critical care or med/surg experience is required
• Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated high level of clinical excellence preferred
