Job Description
RN Emergency Services:
The Emergency Staff RN assumes responsibility and accountability for patient care in the Emergency Department, utilizing the nursing process for a designated time frame. Provides care of these patients according to Marshall Medical Center’s (MMC’s) standard of practice. Maintains good public relations by interacting with patients, visitors, physicians, and other staff members in a friendly and professional manner. Functions as the patient’s advocate at all times. Oversees the performance of any non-professional whose activities impact their patient’s care. Ensures the safe handling of infectious material, and ensures patient and staff safety at all times.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Current California Registered Nursing (RN) License required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Will train for Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Courses (TNCC) preferred
Knowledge/Experience:
- ER experience must..
- Has the physical and mental health sufficient to accomplish the duties of a RN
- Must have basic computer skills.
Shift: 07:00 AM -19:30 PM
Pay Breakdown:
Traveler Pay:
Regular pay for 24 regular hours (3 shifts of 12 hours each) = 24 x $69 = $1656
Overtime pay for 12 hours = 12 x $69 x 1.5 = $1242
Travel allowance for 36 hours (40 hours max) = 36 x $40 = $1440
Total weekly pay for 36 hours = $4338
Effective blended rate = $4338 / 36 hours = $120.5 per hour
Total Gross for 13 weeks = $4338 x 13 weeks = $56394
Local Pay:
Regular pay for 24 regular hours (3 shifts of 12 hours each) = 24 x $91 = $2184
Overtime pay for 12 hours = 12 x $91 x 1.5 = $1638
Travel allowance for 36 hours (40 hours max) = 36 x $0 = $0
Total weekly pay for 36 hours = $3822
Effective blended rate = $3822 / 36 hours = $106.17 per hour
Total Gross for 13 weeks = $3822 x 13 weeks = $49686
