Schedule:

8 to 12 hour shifts, days or night, including weekends and holidays

Panama Schedule: 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next week (8 hours overtime every other week)
Rotating Night, Weekends, and Holidays

Job Specific Position Duties: The duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Emergency Services Registered Nurse shall assess patients, including the ability to assess/evaluate telephonically and possess ability to recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
• Shall perform/assist with procedures such as endoscopic procedures, manometry, conscious sedation, prepping patient for procedures and recovering patients post procedure, bladder catheterizations, pulse oximetry, oxygen administration, EKGs, and other clinic specific procedures, in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure proper documentation and coding of procedures and treatments.
• Shall only release medical information obtained during the course of this contract to other MTF staff involved in the care and treatment of that individual patient.
• Possess basic knowledge in management and daily operation of an emergency department servicing a large number of patients with a variety of healthcare needs and illnesses.
• ER nurse shall arrange for procedures and perform telephone follow-up, as appropriate.
• ER nurse shall ensure medication/supplies are replenished.
• Must possess basic knowledge of emergency procedures in order to react promptly and appropriately to provide effective care during emergency situations, respiratory or cardiac arrest.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Education: BSN; ADN may be accepted with appropriate ER experience
* Experience: Minimum 1 year ER experience as an RN, including moderate sedation for procedures; 2 years experience if ADN

* Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license from any state.

* Life Support Certifications: Possess ARC or AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
