Rural hospital several hundred miles west of Anchorage seeking a full-time, permanent Emergency Department Nurse Manager.
Emergency Department Nurse ManagerDuties:
- Permanent position in an IHS facility (hospital setting)

- Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the overall clinical nursing practice of the Emergency Department on a daily basis.
- Emergency Department Nurse Manager works closely with other members of the Emergency Department Management Team to develop superior Emergency Room Services for the area served.
Position Qualifications:
- Must have completed a program of education in nursing from and NLN approved institution. BSN required, MSN or Master’s degree in a health care related field preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive nursing management experience with three years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Related experience considered.Must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Current BLS.
- Will be required to pass and maintain competencies for this position.Office machines and computers that normally are found in a Medical ER environmentKnowledge of regulatory agency standards related to health care organizations. Cognitive and technical knowledge required with the ability to manage care across the continuum of care.
- Must be flexible with work schedule and possess the ability for independent actions within prescribed limits.
