Registered Nurse Emergency Room - Suburb Dallas/Fort Worth

Full-time Night Shift, 7 pm – 7 am

MedCare Staffing is seeking an RN for an Emergency Department position at an award winning facility outside of Dallas. This facility is a 208-bed full service hospital and offers the full spectrum of healthcare, including advanced open-heart surgery and trauma programs.

This hospital has received numerous Honors and Certifications. They are an Accredited Cycle V Chest Pain Center and Level II Trauma Center. They are a Magnet Designated Facility that was Rated A by Leapfrog while also being honored for being a Texas 10 Step Facility.

Position Summary: The Registered Nurse – Emergency Room - RN ER is responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice. Important aspects of this responsibility are the promotion of a safe and therapeutic environment for both the recipients and providers of nursing care; acquisition of specialized knowledge skills and additional formal education to provide specialized care; demonstration and validation of competence in nursing practice; clinical practice consistent with the policies, procedures and standards of this facility; and supervision of other staff as designated within the department.

Qualifications:

Licensed RN by the State of Texas or compact state

BSN required

1 year of emergency room acute care experience preferred

BLS required. Specialty certification encouraged
