TITLE: Director, Quality and Accreditation (Must be a RN) (80K+)
LOCATION: New Concord, OH

Summary:
Coordinates the health systems quality and accreditation programs to measurably enhance the quality, process and cost effectiveness of patient and customer services rendered.
Coordinates the Performance Improvement and Patient Safety programs in accordance with the guidelines and regulatory requirements of Federal and State regulations on a hospital-wide basis.
Overseas operations of the Infection Control and Quality Programs.
Develops and Reviews policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting standards.
Collects data to monitor compliance and/or trends.
Responsibilities:
-Develops, maintains, monitors, and evaluates the quality improvement program.
-Integrates and coordinates quality activities throughout the medical center.
-Directs the development, implementation, monitoring and tracking of quality data and information.
-Evaluates data collection systems and processes to support patient care delivery (i.e., patient/associate satisfaction, infection control, risk management, etc).
-Designs and implements standardized forms for data gathering and display.
-Receives, coordinates, and evaluates reports and compliance of all quality improvement activities.
-Analyzes information provided by internal and external sources.
-Coordinates and disseminates information to appropriate areas.
-Oversees policy and procedures that relate to quality patient care.
-Maintain organizations application and preparation for regulatory surveys.
-Leads projects or task forces relating to patient safety, Core Measures, Sentinel Event review, or Failure Mode Effects Analysis, as requested.
-Participates in medical center committees, task forces, projects, and community activities.
-Designs and conducts special projects as needed.
-Establishes and manages systems to ensure the confidentiality of all data and related information.
-Is a resource to other departments and units to observe quality improvement activities and patient care processes and assists in determining opportunities for improvement.
-Works closely with physicians to solicit participation and support for quality projects.
-Develops and implements effective educational programs; teaches groups and individuals.
-Ensures an orientation plan is in place for each new associate to learn about quality management/improvement at the medical center.
-Prepares and presents programs related to quality management, regulatory requirements and compliance.
-Prepares required quality management/improvement reports for Quality Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and the Board of Trustees.
Qualifications:
Current State of Ohio licensure as a registered nurse with a bachelor degree in nursing or related field. Masters degree and certification preferred.
Possesses knowledge and skills of Quality Management methodologies.
Possesses knowledge of Joint Commission Standards, Core Measures and federal and state regulations, as appropriate.
Knowledge of tracer methodology, statistical analysis and process is preferred.
Experience in quality, infection prevention, or case management required.
Additional Info:
Position reports to Chief Nursing Officer and works in collaboration with Chief Medical Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
The current leader that has been in the role is making a career transition after 20 years.
Person will supervises Quality with 1.0 Specialist FTE and Infection Control with 1.0 Specialist FTE.
Position is a M-F schedule, no weekends or holidays.
The hospital offers between 80K-100K depending on experience and a full benefit package including 192hrs PTO, paid STD and LTD plans and Life Insurance.
