Clinical Coordinator - PCU

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned unit or clinic section within a hospital. Schedules employee shifts and ensures admitting and discharge functions are providing for optimal patient flow. Ensures that hospital resources are being used in the most efficient manner. Assigns patients to appropriate health practitioners. May perform other administrative functions as necessary. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Job Requirements

May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas

BCLS required (current at time of hire)/maintained throughout term of employment
ACLS required within 6 months of hire/must have current ACLS to be a Charge Nurse /maintained throughout term of employment
PALS preferred
TNCC preferred
Previous Cardiac/Telemetry experience preferred
EKG Course preferred
