Registered Nurse (RN) - Breast Care Coordinator Job Overview:

  • Assess the patient population needs related to breast health and women's health in order to develop appropriate programs.
  • Coordinate with appropriate personnel to promote health fairs and other community awareness programs both on and of fbase.
  • Provide case management for breast cancer patients between the Medical Treatment Facility, secondary treatment facilities and support organizations to insure complete and timely progression of care.
  • Coordinate educational programs
  • Manage complex patient care processes and treatments.
  • Ensure maximum efficiency of services and maintain flexibility in response to the expanding needs regarding Breast Health care with the ultimate goal of maintaining a seamless service delivery system in a patient focused environment.
  • Provide staff and patient education for all radiology related exams and procedures, including breast biopsies pre-operativeandpost-operative patient education for all core breast biopsies.
  • Provide appropriate pre-operative, operative, and post-operative patient assessment and monitoring during stereotactic and ultrasound guided biopsy

Registered Nurse (RN) - Breast Care Coordinator Job Qualifications:

  • BLS
  • RN Licensure: active, current, unrestricted. Any U.S. state.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years full-time experience within the last 3 years as an RN performing case management services.
  • Associates Degree of Nursing
  • Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
