Position Details:


  • Facilitates response to request for services from referral providers and Emergency Departments by reviewing the records.
  • Assesses patients that enter the facility for treatment for infection control concerns documented, reviews current medication routines, and any other medical attention items of need while patients are assessed.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer serviced skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors, visitors and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Facilitate all potential incoming admissions via phone, fax, email, and walk-in.
  • Assist assessment staff in completing admission for patient in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate patient getting to the unit after successful completion of admission process.
  • Serves as a liaison between Nursing and Intake departments for patient's needs. Communication must be strong and positive between the two areas.
  • Maintains all pre-admission and admission paperwork with accuracy, completes all per-certification with insurance companies.

Requirements:


  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.
  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing, valid driver’s license preferred.
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days.

Experience:


  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
  • Must have strong time management and communication skills.
