POSITION SUMMARY: The Occupational Health RN performs a variety of nursing duties to maintain and promote the health of OSF employees and the employees of outside client companies. Assists physician during pre-employment physical examinations, counsels employees exposed to diseases and prepares records and reports on various employee health matters. Assists with medical exams and screenings for all Occupational Health clients. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that is appropriate to the ages of the clients served.
This position is located at our Keystone location in Peoria.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Required. For those beginning employment on or after October 1, 2015, must obtain a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree within six years from date of hire. Must show proof of enrollment in a BSN program within 18 months from date of hire.
License/Certifications:
Current license in the State of Illinois as a Registered Nurse.
Six months clinical RN experience in order to be able to independently assist employees with minor injuries and illnesses, respond to a variety of health and related occupational questions, and learn departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

BLS in preferred for MSS
