Summit Home Care is searching for a dedicated full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for the Downtown Cincinnati and surrounding areas! As a Registered Nurse, you will operate under the supervision of the Clinical Management Team while providing direct care to patients.
Position: RN Hours / Shift Schedule: FULL TIME Basis
Benefits: 401K Program - After 6 months, Summit Home Care will match 4% if the employee contributes 5% or above.
EDUCATION - The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is a VALID RN License

The ideal candidate is a passionate RN with an unrestricted license and minimum 1 year of clinical experience. The candidate will exercise independent and sound judgment, has strong decision-making skills and well-developed interpersonal skills. Our candidate will also case manage multiple priorities, effective organizational and time management skills along with strong teamwork skills. Candidate must possess good computer skills.
Required Qualifications:
- VALID Driver’s License required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Skill Set Desired:
- Experience with Kinnser EMR Software
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to Travel to Patients’ homes
- Ability to build rapport with in-home patients
- Preferred INFUSION experience
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Preferred experience with Venipuncture Lab
- Preferred experience with PICCs, Ports, CVC’s and Peripheral IV’s
- Wound Care/Vac experience
RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Home Health Nurse, you will perform home visits to assess the patient’s health problems and needs as well as develop and implement a nursing care plan. You will be responsible for delivering quality medical care in compliance with industry/company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Start of Cares / Discharges
- Administering medications & monitoring patients for reactions / side effects (including IV)
- Coordinate plans for patient care
- Instruct patients on how to manage illnesses after treatment
- Instructing patients and families on topics such as health education or disease prevention
- Maintaining accurate, detailed reports and records using computerized documentation
- Management of case load
- Modifying patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions
- Monitoring all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity
- Oversee other workers such as LPNs, nursing aides, and home care aides
- Perform and lead an emergency response using BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Perform diagnostic test and analyze results
