(Archived) Registered Nurse Home Health and Hospice
Job Description
There’s nothing more personal than visiting a patient in their own home and bringing comfort to those who are seriously ill. Our home healthcare and hospice team build relationships with patients and their families, working toward common goals. Our doctors, nurses, aides, spiritual counselors and social workers work as a team in getting to know the specific needs of a patient, and provide personalized care utilizing available resources to meet patient needs. While many find severe illness, the end-of-life stage, and working in a patient’s home difficult to cope with, these professionals consider it an honor to provide support during difficult times.
Qualifications
Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required
Academic Preparation: Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO)
Education: Associate Degree
*Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire
Credentials: Registered Nurse-NM
Competencies and skills: BLS
Preferred Experience: Hospice experience (A portion of time will be dedicated to home health; and a portion will be dedicated to hospice).
