Job Description
The AMHS Staffing Agency Infection Prevention Nurse will assist the Infection Prevention team on two rotating weekends a month. The main purpose of this nurse is:
- COVID exposures
This would involve responding to patient exposures and employee exposures. This entails requesting information from Department leaders, quarantine patients, requesting testing on patients, notifying receiving facilities and potentially notifying patients of exposures.
- COVID reports
This would include maintenance of the COVID admission line list, facility numbers, COVID isolation list updates to DOH and NYSDOH HERDs report.
- Infection Prevention expert on call for the weekend
- Additional duties as assigned.
Hours
- Approximately 4 - 8 hours (each day) on Saturday and Sunday, may vary due to volume - Usually most hours in AM and couple in the evening (8am – 12pm and 5-7pm)
