Job Duties

13 Week Infusion Registered Nurse Contract7a-7p and 7p-7a Shifts AvailableAtlanta, GeorgiaPay Rate: $45 to $55 an hour Position Description
The Registered Professional Nurse plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Infusion Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for administration of Chemotherapy. The Infusion Registered Nurse will be highly knowledgeable and competent in chemotherapy and immuno-therapy administration, patient assessment, symptom management, and patient education. The infusion nurse should be skilled in conducting on-going and critical patient assessments, while enjoying an autonomous work environment. Additionally, the Infusion RN’s request pre-certification, order medication, perform medication calculations, and access IV’s/Ports and or start new access. The nurse will have the opportunity to build lasting and supportive relationships with the patients and their family members. Position Requirements
REQUIRED:
1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
2. Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.
3. Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED:
1. BSN degree preferred
2. National Certification in Clinical Specialty preferred
3. Other preferred RN attributes are unit specific. Please refer to the specific clinical unit.
