Job Description
NICU Registered Nurse (RN) needed for 13-week assignment in Salinas, CA! Must have active California RN license.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
- Assessment & Evaluation of critical newborns and continuing care. Computer charting.
- Vents, syringe pump, alaris pump, coripol
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
- 2 years experience - IV starts, lab draws, maintain central lines, vent, urine cath, chest tubes, sedation and cardiac drips
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of California or current compact state license required
- BLS required and ACLS
- NRP
Shift or schedule requirements.
- Based on unit needs. At least every 3rd weekend.
Floating to other units/departments.
- Peds
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
- 15 bed NICU
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
- 1:1-2 occasional 1:3
Dress Code:
- Grey scrubs
