Job Description

Identifies patient care needs and builds rapport with patients and caregivers to assess situation, reason for visit and disposition.

Creates compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients and caregivers.

Assists provider with exam, procedures, testing, and treatment and resolves patient needs by working with and maintaining a relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

Maintains a safe and clean working environment and complies with policies and protocols put in place to protect patients and Mission Partners.

Works at the highest level of licensure by providing quality competent care, following best practice standards, working to achieve care goals and quality outcomes, and following the standards of care set by the state board of nursing.

Administers medication and treatments per provider order and uses nursing judgment and critical thinking skills to provide quality care

Maintains confidential status of medical records and provides timely documentation.

Encourages changes in patient behavior by promoting independence through goal setting with education utilizing teach back methods.

Anticipates and/or responds to emergency situations in a calm, efficient manner.

Advocates for patients and their caregivers to positively influence value driven and effective nursing care within the healthcare communities.

Qualifications and Job Info

1 year experience as an RN in healthcare environment

BLS required

Active state nursing license

Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
