Occupational Health Nurse (RN) position in Toccoa area

This position delivers occupational health services to ensure the health and wellbeing of team members in a variety of work settings (farms, hatcheries, feed mills, truck shops, etc.). The nurse’s primary focus is the prevention of injury and illness in the workplace. He or she delivers education and training related to wellness programs, workplace safety, ergonomics, and other issues that impact team member health. He or she conducts pre-employment health assessments and serves as an advocate to team members as they move through the hiring process and into their assigned roles. Other duties include providing first-aid and conservative care, assessing injuries and illnesses to determine appropriate medical direction, ensuring compliance with regulatory programs and procedures, and managing workers compensation cases.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited school of nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: 2+ years professional nursing experience required; occupational health experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in each state of practice. License or certification in occupational health (COHN) preferred. Current CPR, First Aid, AED certification is preferred.
Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills required, to include experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and electronic medical record systems.
Supervisory: No direct reports.
Travel: 25%+ required. This position supports a multi-state region, thus it will be necessary to make site visits to directly interact with team members.
