Job Description
Our long time client in Smithtown, NY is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join their well-established oncology group specializing in breast health. Practice offers surgical and medical oncology, breast imaging, breast cancer prevention, planning and screening, genetic testing, etc.
Responsibilities:
Managing health problems and coordinating health care for the
Oncology/Hematology patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and
regulations and the nursing standards of care (assessment of health status,
diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of
treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status).
Perioperative preparation and
postoperative clinical management is conducted in collaboration with other health
care team members.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
1 year of experience in Oncology/Hematology helpful.
Strong computer skills, experience in EMR
