Job Description
General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Under the guidance of a Certified Clinical Research Nurse mentor plans, coordinates, and provides excellent professional nursing care for clinical research patients in accordance with physician orders, clinical drug and device protocol guidelines, department policies and procedures, American Nurses Association standards of Clinical Practice, Indiana Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics. Additionally coordinates clinical research trials, regulatory activities, staff education and efficient operations in compliance with government and industry regulations including the Code of Federal Regulations for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Health and Human Services (HHS), International Conference on Harmonisation Guidelines (ICH) and Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (GCPs).
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
require at least one year of Oncology or Research experience. Oncology experience strongly preferred. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Must complete Parkview General Orientation, Patient Care Orientation and clinical research specific orientation as provided and required.
