Job Description
Med 1 Providers is looking for a MS Oncology, RN for our client in LA.
# of Positions: 6 ( 3 Days – 3 Nights)
Schedule: 12 hours shifts 7:00am-7:00pm / 7:00pm – 7:00am
Facility size (beds): 241 beds
Credentialing and on-boarding time; orientation dates or starts every week?
WorkSavers – Post Offer Exam – 95lbs. lifting requirement as part of Onboarding Process.
Day 1 – Hospital Orientation
Day 2- 6 – Nursing Orientation/Classroom
Position
· Unit name: 6 North (MS-Oncology)
· Details on unit
o Unit size, # of beds, etc. 36 beds
o Why is this position open? Replacement/Add to Staff
o Patient ratio: 6:1
o Types of patient profiles or cases: Med Surg / Oncology
Minimum Education
· ADN or BSN
Minimum Work Experience
o Must haves (years, units, trauma levels):
Minimum of 1 year Med/Surg Experience
Will consider LTAC experience
Will consider SNF ( skilled nursing facility) experience - 3 Years Min
o Nice to haves: Strong Clinical/Critical Thinking Skills
Required Licenses/Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- MS RN Certification preferred ( optional)
- Current LA RN license or a compact license
o Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Passionate about the patient experience
Salary: Salary based on years of experience: $24.70 (0-1 yr) $30.93(Mid10 yrs) $37.10 (15+ yrs)
Differentials for weekends, nights, etc.: Night Diff - $4.50, WKND Diff is $2.50
Sign on: Sign-On bonus (amount, what’s needed to qualify, how paid out)
Payout is ½ upon hire (30 days) and remaining ½ at 6 months (2 year commitment)
- $5,000 for 1-5 years’ experience
- $7,500 for 6-9 years’ experience
- $10,000 for 10+ years’ experience
