Carolinas HealthCare System Union is part of Carolinas HealthCare System which is the largest healthcare system in the Carolinas and the third largest public non-profit system in the nation.
Carolinas HealthCare System Union is comprised of a day surgery center, cancer treatment center, long-term care facility, behavioral health center, home health services, outpatient specialty care clinics, a community wellness and outreach program, and several physician practices. The Union Campus is community focused with the resources of being part of a larger healthcare system. Located approximately an hour from Uptown Charlotte.
The OR Nurse Manager is responsible for six (6) OR Suites and Sterile Processing. The department averages five hundred (500) cases per month with a high percentage of orthopedics. They do not do heart, brain or robotic surgeries. Under the Manager are 46 FTE’s to include: RN’s, Surgical Techs and Sterile Processing staff. Initial priorities include: Establishing relationships and trust with a tenured and clinical solid staff, Implementing and sustaining Best Practices, as well as, Developing an engaged team. The position reports to the Director of Perioperative Services.
Qualified candidates MUST have a BSN and Master’s degree in a related field. A minimum of three (3) years Operating Room clinical experience and a least two (2) years of leadership experience
