SURGICAL SERVICES - NURSE MANAGER

Our client Non-Profit Hospital located in Northwestern Arkansas (within an hour and a half of Fayetteville) has over 100 beds and is currently looking to hire a Nurse Manage of Surgical Services. This opportunity is for someone who has strong leadership skills who can lead the Surgical Unit with direction and guidance for this area. The Nurse Manager will be responsible and have accountability for the clinical, financial and personnel management of the Surgical Services units.

BRIEF OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluating with others, core processes for redesign and reengineering to improve operations, reduce cost, reduce cycle time, enhance service and improve performance.
  • Planning and coordinating yearly capital and operational budgets and anticipating long-range capital needs.
  • Participating in community and regional activities.
  • Participating in activities that provide for continuing educations skills development and self-improvement. Assists subordinates to make good decisions regarding their career development.
  • Evaluates surgical services performance against established standards and takes corrective action as indicated.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of 5 years of current experience in Surgical Services
  • Current RN License in the State of Arkansas or the ability to obtain one
  • CPR with re-certification every 2 years
