RN – Assistant Nurse Manager – Operating Room
Position Overview:
Functions in first-line management/clinical leadership role in coordinating patient care activities in the OR. Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the Hospital.
Ensures appropriate staffing and coverage for unanticipated needs, assigning tasks, scheduling shifts. Promotes teamwork and collegial relationships with and among staff, intervenes appropriately and keeps the Nurse Manager informed of departmental issues.

- 17 OR suites
- 65 FTE’s
- 10,000 Surgeries Yearly
- 4 robots, 2 davanci & 2 Mako
- Specializing in hearts, Ortho & Neuro
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous 2-3 YEARS experience as a regularly assigned Charge Nurse or Assistant Nurse Manager in the OR is required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills are extremely important to succeed in this position and ability to relate to a large variety of individuals.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing; Preferred: Masters Degree in Nursing,
- RegisteredNurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
- AmericanHeart Association BLS Certification required.
- AmericanHeart Association ACLS Certification required
- CNOR Preferred
