Job Description
Highly successful outpatient surgery center in downtown San Francisco, California is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join their growing team!
The practice is seeking a perioperative RN with at least 1 year of full-time operating room experience. Ideal candidate will understand and work within the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure that patient will be safe and to keep highest degree of quality care. Candidate must also have knowledge of how to maintain the sterile field in the operating room, and how to be constantly vigilant to see that proper aseptic techniques are utilized to prevent contamination and infection between patients.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to follow directions accurately, quickly and carefully
- Must be a team player
- Helps to prepare surgeons and inventory for daily surgical cases
- Helps in maintaining log books and following guidelines for accreditation
- Responsible for Pre-op duties
- Responsible for Post-op duties
- Responsible for circulating duties
- Demonstrates excellence in integrity, professionalism, pride in work product, and supportive, positive behavior toward all team members
- Has extremely reliable attendance
- Uses appropriate organizational skills and proactive thinking to foresee surgery center challenges and help resolve them, in terms of basic materials & supplies, equipment logistics and other organizational concerns that might affect the flow of surgery or provision of services
Requirements:
- RN and hold a license in the state of California
- Current BLS or ACLS certification
- Previous surgical experience (at least 1 year)
