(Archived) Neuro Critical Care RN
Job Description
~ Must have 2-3 years’ experience in Adult/Neuro/Surgical/Trauma ICU
~ Must have current ACLS, BLS and Indiana license (BSN preferred)
~ Must be experienced in care of vented patients (with weaning protocols), traumatic brain injured patients, post craniotomy patients, stroke patients, trauma patients, spinal cord injury patients.
~ Must be experienced with care of arterial lines, Central Venous access devices (TLC, PICC or PORTS), EVDs, chest tubes, feeding tubes (including Corpaks), tracheostomies, and PCAs.
~ Must be experienced with caring for patients on titrating drips
~ Experience in computer charting prefer Cerner
~ Experience with fast paced and extensive admissions with line placements
~ Excellent customer service skills with patients and families who are dealing with stressful situations.
~Must be able to provide excellent evidenced based practice with a focus on quality
~ Team work is essential.
~ Nurse to patient ratio is 1:2
