About the Job

  • Pay: $83.00-$104.00 ($3,495.24-$4,401.18 Gross Weekly Wages)
  • 13 week Contract
  • Great location!
  • Monday-Friday with weekend rotation
  • Shift Time: 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am (3/12 HR shifts)
  • Start: December 5th, 2022
  • Unit: Med Surge Tele

MINMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • 2 years of Med Surg experience

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
  • CA-RN (Registered Nurse)
  • ACLS

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Able to communicate effectively in English
  • EKG skills since we will have patients on monitor as well

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining patient records.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
  • Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpret and record measurements
  • Monitor patients’ vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner
  • Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team
  • Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care
  • Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records
  • Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals
  • Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre and post-surgery patients
  • Preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications
