(Archived) Registered Nurse

Bellevue Ketamine, a subsidiary of Acute Pain Therapies, located in Bellevue, WA, is actively seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our growing, close-knit group of providers and staff who are passionate about high quality patient care. This is a great opportunity to join an expanding, one-of-a-kind independent multi-provider practice, offering cutting-edge, in-office acute and chronic pain management and treatments.

Ability to place IV's is important.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure patient safety and proper patient identification
• Assist with informed consent and education of patients and or families to address questions or concerns related to their procedure
• Perform and document assessments, vital signs, medications given, and care rendered in all areas
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and by following policies and procedures
• Prepare patients for procedures
• Start IV’s, maintain and administer IV fluids/meds as ordered by provider(s)
• Support the psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural needs of the patient and family
• Prioritize patient care, based on patient assignments and needs, procedure schedules and patient flow
• Take appropriate action in emergency situations
• Report and communicate abnormal clinical findings or symptoms to the appropriate physician
• Respond to telephone encounters daily, answer phones, pre procedure and post procedure follow up calls with patients
• Assist in procedure room, which includes sterilizing and setting up necessary equipment, and setting up sterile procedural and surgical trays as needed.
• Assist with infusions, which includes preparing the infusion bag, starting the patient’s infusion and monitoring vitals and side effects
• Comply with patient care needs as appropriate
• Transport patients to and from the procedural area, and collaborate in the transition of care to and from each area.
• Clean and dress injection sites after procedure
• Assist Physicians, as needed within scope to assist, with procedures
• Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations
• Coordinate the plan of care for discharged patients, which includes educating the patients and family members

Qualified candidates will have the following:

· Washington State nurse license, in good standing

· Proven work experience as an RN, strong IV skills

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize work

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· EMR experience (Health Fusion a plus)

· Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
