Job Description

A community-based healthcare organization is seeking Bilingual Spanish Registered Nurses during the weekends for their East Harlem, NYC facility. The population that the RN will be working closely with are adolescents and youth.

The salary for the Safety and Wellness Registered Nurse position is $45.67 per hour.
You will be working on Saturdays and Sundays only - with the option of 8am-6pm or 10am-8pm.

For your day to day, you will be doing a lot of administrative tasks. You will act as the primary point of contact for scheduling COVID vaccinations and scheduling initial medical assessments for the youth in our care and will execute special projects as assigned as it relates to COVID vaccinations and the required tracking and the internal and external communication correspondences.

Requirements and Qualifications:
· Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
· NYS Registered Nurse license (If licensed in another State, you would need to transfer/apply for New York State)
· Experience working with at-risk youth – strongly preferred
· Bilingual English-Spanish required. All agency documents and records are in English, so English writing proficiency required. Position itself requires Spanish speaking, writing, and reading proficiency.
· Strong communication and organizational skills – required
· Ability to work effectively in a team context
· Demonstrated ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and to exercise greater judgment
· Two years’ office experience required, medical office experience preferred
· Knowledge of medical office environment, workflow, and terminology
· Strong knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
· Working knowledge of Google Suite required
· Excellent typing skills
· Ability to multitask within a fast paced medical office setting
· Ability to work independently and in collaboration with agency healthcare providers and nursing support staff
· Excellent communication and proven human relations skills
· Ability to work well with people from many cultures including recent immigrants, non-English speakers, and LGBTQ children
