Job Description
Seeking a Covid Flu Community Health Worker for a diverse, community-based health care organization.
The Spanish speaking Community Health Worker to provide COVID/Flu outreach education, distribute health promotion materials in English, Spanish, and/or Spanish. The CHW will conduct extensive COVID/Flu outreach in their community, with the goal of enhancing awareness of COVID/Flu related resources to providers and other agencies. This position requires an individual committed to health equity and social justice that is adaptable in a variety of community settings.
Conduct extensive outreach in their community, with the goal of enhancing awareness of resources, more so related to COVID/Flu vaccine, education and awareness.
Education:
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Flexible evenings and weekends.
Community Health Worker Training Certificate, preferred.
At least 2 years education in Public Health, or equivalent, preferred.
Knowledge of the US health care system and medical terminology, preferred.
Two to four years experience in a community based setting or health related position.
