Description
Provides professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Prepares equipment and assists physician during examinations and treatments. Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors patient vital signs. Observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN program; BS in nursing preferred but not required; excellent written and verbal communication skills
- One year of acute care experience required
- An unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse within the state of Louisiana; American Heart Association Basic Life Support, ACLS, and PALS or completion within 90 days of employment
