SHIFT: Full Time Days (rotating weekends) 7:00AM - 7:00PM

MedCare staffing is seeking an experienced Mother/Baby RN for a position at an excellent medical center located in far North Dallas. This facility has been designed to care for the health and well-being of the entire family. Prevention of disease is our focus, but treatment, when necessary is by some of the most highly specialized physicians in the country. In fact, patients travel to this area from over 75 countries and from all over the United States for the sophisticated treatment offered by some of its 400+ in-house physician specialists where they have access to the latest and most sophisticated technology. Over 95 different medical and surgical sub-specialists are housed within the “City”. Our medical center offers a full service adult and pediatric hospital, with separate adult and pediatric emergency rooms, outpatient centers, and a psychiatric hospital. Job Summary

The Mother Baby / Couplet Care Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for:

• Planning and providing individual goal directed nursing care that promotes, advocates for, and strives to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family and community
• Possesses knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the particular skills necessary to provide optimum patient care to the population for which he or she is employed.

• Is accountable for their practice and care coordination.
• Expected to practice autonomously utilizing evidence based practices.

Education:

• BSN Required

Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 Years experience Mother/\Baby, Postpartum required in an acute care facility

Licensure/ Certification/Registration:

• Texas RN licensure or compact license
• Current certification as a BLS healthcare upon hire by American Heart
• STABLE - Required withing 6 months of hire

• NRP certification or within 6 months of hire
