Your Role with the Company:
Provides direct patient care and facilitates the development and delivery of quality care for wound/ostomy/continence patients (under general supervision)
Collaborates with medical and nursing clinicians and operational personnel to improve clinical services in a cost-effective manner
Participates in the development and delivery of training for areas of specialty
Implements through a partnership with assigned areas, the pressure injury prevention program
Background Profile:
Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within 3 years
Preferred: 3 to 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
Minimum of 1-year experience in the specialty area
Must have interpersonal skills appropriate to instruct patients and families, participate in formal and informal educational initiatives
Must have analytical skills appropriate to resolve complex patient care problems, and prepare comprehensive plans of care
Must have organizational skills in order to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Must be able to demonstrate skills in patient experience and service recovery.
Proficient in implementing effective nursing care and evaluating the outcome of nursing intervention
Preferred: Current specialty certification by the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurses Certification Board
Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse
Current “Healthcare Provider” CPR certification
