Job Description

Our Clinic Manager is a Registered Professional Nurse with experience in the practice of nursing and possessing advanced studies and expertise in administration of Nursing Services, with a focus on youth healthcare services. Has the authority, responsibility and accountability for structuring, comprehensive planning and implementing the Nursing Service Program.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience in an acute setting recommended
  • Emergency Room and Communicable Disease, with Medical and Surgical experience preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the State
  • Current CPR certification

Responsibilities:



Participates in planning, priority setting, and development of policies and procedures for health care activities that comply with the Florida DJJ Health Services Manual, Mental Health/Substance Abuse Manual, and State standards. In addition to supervising the youth medical services program, also specifically ensures the following services are provided and/or available: Mental Health and substance abuse screenings upon admission, Comprehensive Assessments as needed, Psychotherapy or professional counseling, psychopharmacological therapy, suicide prevention, and Crisis Intervention and Emergency services.Coordinates and monitors orientation, in-service training, and continuing education with the Regional Clinical Manager.Coordinates the development, provision, and evaluation of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice in the state in which the facility is located.Provides sick call, intake, med pass, physicals, etc. as required by contract.Prepares/submits reports as requested for Facility administration and the Regional Clinic Manager in a timely manner.Responds to a code or health emergency within standard guidelines.Perform other duties as assigned.
