Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - (CRNA) Locum Tenens
Staff Care is looking for an independent CRNA to help with locums in the beautiful state of Maine. This is an ongoing opportunity starting as early as May 2017. Cases include general surgery, endoscopy, ENT, eyes, orthopedics, and OB with spinals and epidurals. No complex cases, no cardiac, no neuro, and no pediatrics. This is a CRNA only practice, so the CRNA must be comfortable performing their own cases. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 hour days, with weeknight and weekend call. A certified registered nurse anesthetist (locum tenens) administers anesthesia in surgeries as required by, or in the absence of, an anesthesiologist physician. A CRNA will look at patient history in a preoperative setting in order to determine an optimal course of action, choosing the techniques and drugs that best suit the patient's unique physiology and medical history. During surgery, it is the CRNAs job to administer anesthesia and manage the patient's reactions accordingly.
