Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - (CRNA) Locum Tenens

Our client in southern Illinois needs 4 CRNA's to start April 1 with a minimum of 30 days to be extended as needed. Permanent option is available. Cases include OB epidurals and spinals for OB; no hearts, no heads; only basic pediatrics when applicable. They run 5 - 6 rooms daily - 1 room is an ENDO room which is supervised 80% of the time. The CRNA must be comfortable working autonomously and do OB epidurals as well as take primary beeper call (probably 1 time a week).

A certified registered nurse anesthetist (locum tenens) administers anesthesia in surgeries as required by, or in the absence of, an anesthesiologist physician. A CRNA will look at patient history in a preoperative setting in order to determine an optimal course of action, choosing the techniques and drugs that best suit the patient's unique physiology and medical history. During surgery, it is the CRNAs job to administer anesthesia and manage the patient's reactions accordingly.
