(Archived) Nursing Administrator/Director Labor & Delivery
Job Description
The Director of Nursing of L&D provides leadership to assigned nursing unit(s) with responsibility for planning, directing and evaluating the patient care and services provided.
Qualifications Required:
* Previous experience as a Nurse Manager or Nurse
Administrator
* Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in
L&D
* BSN
* Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of
Virginia as a registered nurse.
Qualifications Prefered:
* Previous position experience using critical thinking, decisive judgment, strong communication skills, clinical expertise,educate and instruct patients, Independent leadership thinking/judgment.

Unit Information: Labor and Delivery (L&D):
It has 26 beds and a 6 bed labor lounge
The unit has approximately 4,000 deliveries per year
They have approximately 700 low intervention births per year. We offer Novii electrohysterography monitoring.
