Job Details:
Our client, a 300+ bed hospital located in SE coastal GA, about 60 miles from Jacksonville, FL, has a need for a DAY shift OR RN to join their team. Experienced candidates only please. Sorry, no new grads.
The Registered Nurse effectively delivers perioperative care to the surgical patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
Works as a patient advocate for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
Utilizes patient care supplies/equipment in a fiscally responsible manner
Demonstrates patient confidentiality and positive interpersonal skills

The Registered Nurse performs the following essential responsibilities:
Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage and provide care for assigned patients for each specific patient population utilizing age specific guidelines
Delivers patient care utilizing appropriate resources based on standards of care
Evaluates diagnostic tests related to patient condition and expected outcome of treatment plan
Performs and documents a nursing assessment to identify and prioritize patient’s needs, with development of a plan of care.
Evaluates, reassesses and documents nursing interventions, based on interdisciplinary plan of care making revisions as appropriate.
Practices Universal Precautions and follows all infection control policies
Orders supplies and maintains par levels collaborating with materials management
Responsible for assisting in the orientation and preceptorship of students and new staff to the role of an RN within surgical services

OR:
Staggered staffing, Nurse/Patient ratio is 1:1,
OR—12 rooms, one cysto room, Outpatient Surgery-20 rooms in Pods, pre op and post op, 50-75 patients Daily, PACU- Post Anesthesia, they “hold” patients and are staffed for holding.
Endoscopy-procedures using scopes: Colonoscopy, Proctoscopy, Bronchoscopy

Qualifications:
Current Georgia RN license required
Current American Heart Association BCLS (CPR) preferred
2 years of Operating room RN experience required
CNOR certification preferred
