Our client, a 130+ bed hospital located about 25 miles from Atlanta, GA, has a need for OR RNs to join their team. This is a Day shift position. Competitive Salary and LARGE SIGN ON BONUS!!!
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and within the policies of the organization. Provides perioperative care to surgical patients.

Reports to: Nurse Manager
• Performs patient assessments and reassessments to recognize abnormal findings and takes action to address. Also includes medication administration/reconciliation, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Reviews all aspects of surgery plan and develops intra-operative care plan.
• Circulates on all specialties to include interviewing patient, patient positioning, prepping operative area, counting instruments and sponges, ensuring operation of equipment and trouble shooting, retrieving needed supplies/instruments during case, conducting Universal protocol, placing dressing over wound and giving report to PACU during hand off.
• Documents patient care given.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Provides physician specific discharge instructions.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Patient Experience: Employee shall endeavor to provide a superior patient experience
• Participates in departmental PI plan to include regulatory and professional standards compliance.
Minimum Education
• Associate’s degree Required
• Bachelor’s degree Preferred
Experience:
At least 1 yr of OR or PACU experience.
OR Rooms – 8
GI Cases – 3
Cases per year – for 2015 inpatient and outpatient was 6030 cases
For 2016 inpatient and outpatient was 6066 cases
Shift – 7am – 7pm and also have on-call (can be 8’s, 10’s, or 12’s)

Salary range - $24 /hr min - $40.50/hr max
We are currently offering a $15K sign on bonus for Full Time RNs
Also, we have a Full Time Seasonal RN position (16week agreement, $45/hr, no benefits or PTO…no guaranteed opportunity to renew the agreement once 16wks is completed…but its highly likely!)
