🕒 Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
📅 Schedule: 36 Hours per Week

Compensation

  • Gross Weekly Pay: $1,114.00
  • Weekly Taxable Pay: $540.00
  • Weekly Non-Taxable Stipend: $574.00
  • Hourly Taxable Rate: $15.00/hr
  • Blended Rate: $30.94/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $22.50/hr

Non-taxable stipends are available for qualified travelers based on eligibility and applicable guidelines.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Critical Care, ICU, and Telemetry team. This role provides direct patient care and supports nursing staff in delivering safe, high-quality care to patients in an acute care hospital environment.

The ideal candidate possesses strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience documenting patient care in EPIC EMR. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and may be assigned to other acute care units based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting, and personal care.
  • Support patient mobility through repositioning, transfers, ambulation, and restorative care activities.
  • Assist with nutritional and hydration needs while promoting patient comfort and safety.
  • Observe patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the supervising Registered Nurse (RN).

Clinical Support

  • Obtain, monitor, and document vital signs accurately.
  • Perform finger-stick blood glucose testing as assigned.
  • Assist with enteral feeding procedures, including gastrostomy (G-tube), jejunostomy (J-tube), and pyloric tube feedings.
  • Apply approved heat and cold therapies according to facility protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment.

Documentation & Communication

  • Document patient care activities and observations accurately within EPIC EMR.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and facility compliance standards.
  • Participate in shift reports and communicate patient concerns in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

  • Previous experience in an acute care, hospital, ICU, telemetry, or critical care setting preferred.
  • EPIC EMR experience required.

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification (Required)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required)

Preferred Certifications

  • Phlebotomy Certification
  • Audiometry/Vision Certification
