Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU and Step-Down ICU units. The ideal candidate must possess strong ICU experience in a Level I Trauma Center environment and be willing to float between ICU and Step-Down ICU as needed.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide quality patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, nursing standards, and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding care and treatment plans.
- Participate in unit-based performance improvement and quality initiatives.
- Provide clinical expertise and support to other departments as needed.
- Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and positive patient outcomes.
- Escalate concerns appropriately through the chain of command.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN License.
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
- Recent experience in a Level I Trauma Center ICU.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (education verification required).
- Must be willing to float to Step-Down ICU.
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
Certifications Required

- NIHSS
