Job Description

Specialty: Certified Medidcation Aide

Job Description

Administering daily medication to patients in a hospital or medical facility.

Monitoring patients, reporting changes, and collecting samples.

Receiving supervision from a Registered Nurse (RN) while on the job.

Tracking prescription and non-prescription drugs administered to patients.

Ensuring correct medications are given at the right time and correct dosages are administered.

Documenting medications administered and recording dosages and times given.

Qualifications

Minimum of GED or High School Diploma

Graduate from a standard Senior High School or GED equivalent.

Must be licensed in KS and have BLS

Work experience, preferably direct care experience. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.

Demonstrate ability to communicate efficiently and professionally in both written and oral form.
