Location: Palm Springs, CA Area (Hospital Setting)
Schedule: Full Time | 8-Hour Shifts (Varied)
Salary: $52–$79/hr

About the Role

Join a leading healthcare team as the Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator, overseeing quality, compliance, and performance of POCT across multiple hospital departments. This role ensures testing accuracy, staff competency, and seamless communication between clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor POCT quality control, quality improvement, competency, proficiency testing, method comparisons, and policy/procedure updates.

• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

• Maintain effective communication and support for all POCT users across clinical and nursing departments.

• Utilize the Laboratory Information System as needed.

• Perform site inspections for all on-campus and off-campus POCT locations.

• Ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations.

• Uphold safety standards and the Code of Conduct.

• Provide phone support and direct inquiries appropriately.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree

Licensure & Certifications

• Required: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license

• Preferred: ASCP MLS (or equivalent)

Experience

• Required: At least 2 years of CLS experience

• Prior POC experience is a plus!
