NEW Director of Benefits Opportunity | Hybrid (Relocation to Houston, TX Required)

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Director of Benefits to lead the design, implementation, administration, and communication of comprehensive employee benefit programs. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving strategy, compliance, vendor management, and team development within a complex, multi-divisional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design and administration of health & welfare, retirement, and voluntary benefit plans
• Ensure compliance with IRS, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and other regulations
• Manage external vendors, brokers, consultants, and trustees
• Lead and develop a benefits team while driving operational excellence
• Partner with HR leadership on Total Rewards strategy and initiatives
• Collaborate with HRIS/IT teams to enhance systems and improve benefits delivery
• Develop metrics and reporting to evaluate program effectiveness and ROI
• Serve as a key resource for escalated benefits issues and process improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of progressive benefits leadership experience
• Experience in a complex healthcare system or multi-divisional organization preferred
• Strong knowledge of retirement plans (401k/403b), health & welfare plans, and compliance regulations
• HRIS experience required
• Certification such as CBP or CEBS preferred
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
