Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical for a 12-week contract in beautiful Salida, Colorado. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who enjoy delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care while working in a scenic mountain community.

Start date is typically within approximately 2 weeks after offer acceptance and completion of onboarding/credentialing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive adult Medical-Surgical nursing care.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments safely.
• Monitor patient progress and document accurately in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Support discharge planning and care coordination.
• Maintain evidence-based nursing standards and patient safety.

Qualifications

Required

• Active Colorado RN License
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum
• Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification
• Strong acute care experience

Preferred

• BSN
• ACLS
• PALS

Schedule

• Night Shift
• 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• 36 Guaranteed Hours Weekly
• Every Other Weekend
• Overtime Available (No Mandatory Overtime)
