Clinical Microbiology Lead / MT Coordinator ($31-$48/hr)

We're hiring an experienced Clinical Microbiology Technologist who is ready to take on a greater role in laboratory operations, technical support, and team development.
This full-time Microbiology Coordinator opportunity combines hands-on clinical testing with the chance to become a go-to resource for fellow laboratory professionals.
Compensation: $31.00-$48.00/hour
Shift: Evening Shift, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM Additional shift options may be available upon request
Schedule:
- Full-Time
- 40 hours per week
- Every Other Weekend
- No On-Call

What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform microbiology testing, culture workups, organism identification, and susceptibility testing
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support
- Help train and mentor laboratory professionals
- Assist with quality assurance activities, workflow improvements, and method validations
- Support accurate, timely reporting and consistent laboratory procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, or a related science
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical microbiology experience
- Strong knowledge of bacteriology, cultures, Gram stains, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing
- ASCP certification preferred
- Experience with automated microbiology instrumentation is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to mentor and support others
