We're hiring an experienced Clinical Microbiology Technologist who is ready to take on a greater role in laboratory operations, technical support, and team development.

This full-time Microbiology Coordinator opportunity in Northwest Indiana combines hands-on clinical testing with the chance to become a go-to resource for your fellow laboratory professionals.

• Evening Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM

• Full-Time: 40 hours per week

• Every Other Weekend

• No On-Call

What You'll Be Doing

You'll remain involved in clinical microbiology while helping keep the department running efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing microbiology testing, culture workups, organism identification, and susceptibility testing

• Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support

• Helping train and support other laboratory professionals

• Assisting with quality assurance, workflow improvements, and method validations

• Supporting accurate, timely results and consistent laboratory procedures

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, or a related science

• At least 2 years of clinical microbiology experience

• Strong knowledge of bacteriology, cultures, Gram stains, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing

• ASCP certification preferred

• Experience with automated microbiology instrumentation is a plus

• Someone who enjoys problem-solving, mentoring others, and taking initiative
