Call is by phone only. Divided out evenly between the staff. Right now it is about once every 10 days on average. Could be more or less depending on peoples vacation schedules. On M-F, call begins at 3pm and goes until 7am. If there is call on the weekend then it begins at 3pm on Friday and goes till 7am Monday morning. Most people never get called in when on call.
Call is spread out evenly and averages around once every 10 days. Preferably one weekend every two months.
The call is only for c-sections and only if the inhouse crew is doing something else. Would never be for anything else. Most call shifts are No Hitters. They do nothing other than be available. The potential is always there but the reality is they are not used often.
