Schedule and Coverage

  • Shift Coverage: Scheduled + On Call
  • Shift Schedule: Standard 5, Day (8 Hours) 07:30 - 15:30
  • Call Hours: 15:30 - 07:30 (in-house primary call)
  • Call Frequency:
    • Weeknight Call: 3 nights/month (may increase during startup phase)
    • Weekend Call: 7 weekends/year (may increase during startup phase)
  • Call Response Time:
    • Primary Call: In-house (anesthesia call room or hospital housing)
    • Secondary Call: 30-minute response radius
  • Post-Call:
    • Primary call receives post-call day off
    • Secondary call does not, but is first out on peel-out

General Job Responsibilities

  • Independently administer anesthesia for high-acuity surgical cases
  • Perform spinals, blocks, and epidurals (must be proficient)
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia
  • Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to ensure safe anesthesia care
  • Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia services
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

Minimum Education Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program

License & Certifications

  • Active and unrestricted CRNA license in Indiana
  • Board Certification (NBCRNA) – Required
  • DEA and Indiana CSR – Required
  • ACLS (AHA only) – Required
  • Must enroll in INPCF

Experience

  • Must provide case logs showing proficiency in spinals, blocks, and epidurals (minimum 350 cases in past 12 months)
  • MD reference required
  • Board Certification required; Board Eligible not accepted

Additional Notes

  • Credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days. Temporary privileges available for candidates with a clean background and malpractice history
