Job Description
Aya Locums is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in Lexington, Kentucky at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
This is a structured hospital-based assignment with strong case variety and academic exposure. The facility is actively willing to license qualified providers.
Position Overview
- Acute Care Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Center)
- Full-time commitment required (must work 4 weeks per month)
- 13-week contract starting May 18, 2026
- Willing to license in Kentucky
- 90-day credentialing timeframe
Schedule
- Preference: 4x10-hour shifts
- Open to 8s, 10s, or 12s
- 7:00 AM start (½-hour unpaid lunch)
- Facility prioritizes candidates open to 10:00 AM start times (10-hour shifts)
- Providers must be available every week (no week-on/week-off)
Practice Environment
- Medical direction model
- CRNAs work alongside anesthesiologists, residents, and anesthesia techs
- Typical ratios: 2:1 or 3:1 (Anesthesiologist to CRNA)
- EPIC EMR
- All providers required to work NORA
Case Mix
- Orthopedics
- Trauma
- Vascular
- Neuro
- All age groups (no neonatal cases)
- No OB
- No cardiac
Skills Required
- Intubation
- Arterial line placement
- Central line placement
- General line placement
- Blocks unlikely
Requirements
- NBCRNA required
- Minimum 1 year of experience (no new grads)
- Recent experience in large medical center required
- Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience strongly preferred
- Kentucky license required to start — facility is willing to license qualified candidates
