New Locum Opportunity – Chicago, IL

Full-time CRNA coverage needed for 3×12 or 4×10 weekly schedules in a high-acuity academic hospital setting. 50 anesthetizing sites per day with strong attending supervision. Must have strong Epic experience as no EMR training is provided onsite.

PAY RANGE

• $230-240/hr
• $375 Daily stipend for CRNA’s outside of Chicago needing flights, hotel, car rental.

HIGHLIGHTS

• 3×12s (7a–7:30p) or 4×10s (7a–5:30p)
• Must work 4 weeks/month — no part-time accepted
• Orientation: brief 1 day (may change to 2–3 days)
• Epic EMR required — 2+ years experience mandatory
• 50 anesthetizing sites/day
• High-acuity academic center
• 19–23 supervising MDs + 10–20 CRNAs/day
• Adult cases; peds & neuro exposure a plus

SCHEDULE

• Start Date: 6/15/2026
• Coverage: Scheduled + No Call
• Shift Options:
  • 3×12s → 7a–7:30p (30-min unpaid lunch)
  • 4×10s → 7a–5:30p (30-min unpaid lunch)
• Occasional additional 12-hr shift may be offered
• OT opportunities at times, not guaranteed

CASE MIX

• MAC
• General
• Bread-and-butter adult anesthesia
• Peds & neuro a plus
• No need for OB, thoracic, regional, or hearts

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

• Academic teaching hospital environment
• 50 anesthetizing locations daily
• Strong MD supervision (CRNAs never independent)
• 19–23 MDs + 10–20 CRNAs per day
• EPIC EMR (mandatory previous experience)
• RTO for first 3 months must be submitted upfront
• Supervisor reference required upfront

REQUIREMENTS

• NBCRNA Certified
• Illinois license required
• BLS
• DEA
• IL CSR
• Epic experience: minimum 2 years
• Minimum 2 years CRNA experience
• Must be comfortable in fast-paced academic environments
• Credentialing: ~3.5 months
